International Workers Memorial Day - Tuesday, 28th April 2020

Each year unions around the World celebrate International Workers Memorial Day.

We remember those who have lost their lives at work, or from work-related injury and diseases. We renew our efforts to organise collectively to prevent more deaths, injuries and disease as a result of work.

Workers Memorial Day is commemorated throughout the world and is officially recognised by the UK Government.

We remember those we have lost. We organise in their memory.

This year, we are focussing on those we have lost due to the Coronavirus pandemic.  Attached is a link that takes you to the TUC website and gives more details.

In essense though, we would like to spread the word about a minutes silence for fallen or sick colleagues due to the Covid-19.  So at 11.00 a.m. please ask your friends, colleagues and family to stop and think of the immense personal contribution everyone who is a keyworker is making at this time.
