I have been Branch Secretary now for 10 years now and have been on countless courses since participating in the course shown above.

I have been fortunate to been trained up to a high standard to help me to develop my skills to deliver Unison’s objective and to undertake the strategic role that is required of me.

UNISON's Education Unit has work extremely hard to provide the wide range of subjects to  develop new Branch Secretaries like myself.  Clever negotiations with the Trade Union Education Unit within Manchester University, have provided courses of quality and diversity which have proven to be extremely invaluable.

Geoff Wright, Assistant Branch Secretary has also undertaken a lot of courses that enable the branch to go from strength to strength.
